The production and publication of our Venture client magazine is the proudest thing I have been involved in, in my working career. Guy Cracknell has designed a magazine at the top of its class in our industry and totally understood our remit for vibrancy and  readability.

Okehampton Town Council

Okehampton Town Council provide a wide range of services for the town and its people

Okehampton Town Council were looking for an affordable design company to create a new sensory leaflet for Simmons Park and Fairplace Garden. Guy Cracknell Graphic Design managed the entire project from design to printing and we were very satisfied with the results. Guy took the time to understand exactly what we wanted from our leaflet and the audience the Council were aiming for, took the design brief on board and came up with a draft that was exactly what the Council were hoping for. He made very constructive suggestions about colours for the project and his local knowledge was valuable for the project finding printers that used vegetable inks to comply with the Council's environmentally friendly requirement. Every picture change or rewording suggestion was done with in a short time frame. GCGD was easy to contact by phone or email and replied swiftly. Okehampton Town Council would recommend GCGD and will be using them again for any future design work.

Devon Dens is an eco-friendly, off-grid rural retreat deep in West Devon’s heartland

Guy Cracknell has been pivotal to our businesses over the last ten years, helping us create strong identities with logos and guiding us through numerous design processes. Guy spends time deep diving into each business and thoroughly taking on board who we are and what we are hoping to achieve. He then goes through a detailed process with clear communication which results in branding that we feel represent our ethos and character perfectly. This is sometimes no mean feat when working with partnership businesses who have conflicting views on the desired outcome, but with Guy’s patience and guidance we have always got to a point in an appropriate timescale where all management parties are happy.

BBC

GCGD has worked with the BBC since 2011, with both their commercial and editorial operations. Work has been wide-ranging, including infographics, brochures, photography, point-of-sale and other promotional material. Over the years, we have also designed a huge number of PowerPoint presentations. For confidential reasons we are unable to share examples of much of the work we produce for the BBC, but are able to show slides from some public facing presentations from public conferences and expos.

I first contacted Guy Cracknell Graphic Design in September 2020 following a recommendation from another local business.  I was in need of support with logo design, branding and a website and, having been let down by a couple of other graphic designers previously, had a very short deadline before the opening of my shop.  

Guy was incredibly responsive.  He understood my vision, delivered to the brief and had creative ideas that helped to pull everything together.  Not only did he create fantastic graphics but he also worked with my suppliers to ensure they had everything they needed to deliver whether that be shop signage, media advertising, stationery or shopping bags.

Manor Magazine was an award-winning high-end lifestyle magazine

Guy worked on MANOR since its launch, and pre-launch he put together the prototype. Guy was integral in the magazine’s success, not least for his design skills - the design of the magazine has been, and is frequently lauded by those highly experienced in the sector - but also for his client relationship. Putting together a substantial magazine like MANOR every six weeks was a stressful business, but Guy was always highly professional, always calm and always amenable, which was a godsend for any editor. Importantly, he’s was always well-stocked in Fruitella when things got really bad.

Oaktree Occasions are specialist wedding and event caterers based in Okehampton

We were fortunate to have Guy recommended to us when we were changing business models from a restaurant to event caterers. Guy came up with numerous logo designs for us to choose from, and we settled on a striking design of a fork and tree, along with a colour scheme that embodied our ethos of field to fork. 

Guy’s intuitive design has no doubt helped us become a recognised brand in our area and we get so many comments about it. Now in our 9th year of successful trading, we still find our logo adaptable, from workwear to our vehicles, it is striking and unique to us and we are indebted to Guy for his help in our fledgling years.
